16. The Rum Diary, 2011, Dir. Bruce Robinson
P.S. I used to be a radio slave and sometimes I also contribute to a film blog. I'm part of a pioneering online enterprise.
It’s official, guys. If I ever break into the movie biz, I’m totally using Ram Santiago as my screen name. XD
What’s in a name?
I was just watching Jennifer Lopez on Inside the Actors Studio and found out that the role of Grace McKenna in Oliver Stone’s 1997 film U-Turn was first offered to Sharon Stone. In 1995’s Casino, Sharon Stone played drug-addicted call girl Ginger McKenna, for which she earned her first and only Oscar nomination.
That was your useless movie factoid of the day.
Dear Tom Hooper,
I think it’d be awesome if you cast at least one French person in an important part for your upcoming adaptation of Les Misérables. Did you know that the gorgeous Léa Seydoux told Esquire she once wanted to be an opera singer and even studied in Conservatoire de Paris? How about approaching her for the role of Eponine?
Forget this Taylor Swift nonsense, please.
