Quentin Crisp, The Celluloid Closet (1995) (via bohemea)
I thought of this quote from the AMAZING documentary about gay and lesbian themes in cinema when I saw some immature and self-focued attitudes towards polyamory make their way around tumblr yesterday. I think that this little joke the indulliable Quentin Crisp says about peas is something we should all remember when encountering something sexual that we’re not into.
If you don’t like something, then don’t do it. But don’t cast your dislike for it on those who enjoy it, because some of us have happily enjoyed peas for our entire adult life (and don’t feel the need to justify ourselves.)
