“NU107 has employed DJs of all shapes, sizes, genders, and temperaments. So does everybody else, I suppose, but the ones who will permanently be ‘family’ are the ones who, on the day of their audition, do not have a ‘DJ’ air about them. Most of us who became part of the air team… we were the bullied ones in high school, the nerds in college, the quiet ones fiercely obsessed with music and its related culture.”—From Nu 107: Home is where the rock ‘n’ roll was by Francis Reyes. Reduced to tears again.
The first one I remember was one of my eldest sister’s friends when I was just in first grade. Or maybe even younger. They moved away and I remember listening to Menudo’s “If You’re Not Here” and crying to myself alone. LOL
if all good things must come to an end, why even bother to start???
Every experience teaches you something about yourself. Everything that happens in your life contributes to your growth as an individual. I wouldn’t be the person I am today if it weren’t for the collective lessons piled up over the years from things that whether of my choosing or not, had to come to an end. Remember that life is an endless cycle of beginnings and endings. The important thing is to realize that you should take something away from each cycle in your life. Otherwise, you’re not living life to the fullest. :D
“I don’t think any gay person is going to be happy and bring joy to themselves and other people unless they can be honest about their sexuality, and if other people don’t like that honestly, that’s a comment on them and not on the person who is being honest.”—Sir Ian McKellen
