Two nights ago, I noticed this tiny, terrified little thing on our street outside my neighbor’s. I figured that she had just somehow been separated from her mom so I decided to leave her be. Later that night, she started making her way into our garage, and eventually into the kitchen. I took her back out to the street several times, hopeful that her mom would come back for her, but she just kept coming back. I guess it’s true that cats choose you.
This was taken the morning before her first vet appointment. She was dewormed, and later that afternoon, I gave her her first bath, and applied some flea medication. She’s proving to have quite a healthy appetite, and is quite quick on her feet. I decided to name her Shana after Shosanna in Inglourious Basterds since she sure can run, and I think she has the same survivor’s spirit. I can’t wait to get her to a nice, healthy weight.

The cat does choose you! They’re crazy intuitive feelers. But she is sweet, and you can tell that she has an interesting mix in breed :)
