Zoë Kravitz by Dan Monick for Rolling Stone, March 2011
I really adore Zoë Kravitz. I’m hoping that this year’s Vanity Fair Hollywood Issue by Annie Leibovitz will include her even if she was featured last year as someone to watch. Kravitz by Leibovitz. Try saying that five times fast.
I’m predicting/hoping the following ladies whose careers seem to be on the upswing will be featured in that issue: Jennifer Lawrence, Jessica Chastain, Rooney Mara, Mila Kunis, Amber Heard, Olivia Wilde, and Chloë Moretz.

W Magazine declared them “Hollywood’s New It Girls” in September.
How dope is it that ANTM Cycle 3 runner-up Yaya DaCosta is on this list? Suck on that, Tyra Banks.
I just recently watched Winter’s Bone, and I tried really hard to appreciate all the acclaim surrounding the film and Jennifer Lawrence’s performance, but I suppose it was too…”regional” for me. Maybe that was the whole point. All the critics rave about its authenticity, but in a way that made it a tad too esoteric for my taste.
I’ve never seen anything Greta Gerwig’s done and I’ll always remember Kat Dennings as that bratty, foul-mouthed New York teen Samantha had to plan a bat mitzvah for in Sex and the City. Judging from the roles she has lined up (including Terence Malick’s The Tree of Life), Jessica Chastain is gonna be huge.
Emma Roberts has been making some pretty interesting choices lately, and Mary Elizabeth Winstead is already a favorite thanks to Scott Pilgrim and will next be inThe Thing prequel.
And Zoë Kravitz will hopefully have big roles in X-Men: First Class and Fury Road.

The X-Men: First Class cast is getting even more interesting with the addition of Zoë Kravitz, who will play Angel Salvadore AKA Tempest.
